Design & Build
Lenovo gives its gaming laptops a clean, understated look compared with flashier rivals, which many gamers appreciate. The Legion 5 Gen 10 features a premium build with a WQXGA display and 24-zone RGB keyboard, while the LOQ line keeps costs down with a more restrained design and solid plastic-and-metal construction. Displays range from fast 144Hz FHD panels on the LOQ models to a gorgeous 165Hz OLED WQXGA on certain Legion 5 configurations. All feel sturdy, with good keyboards and effective cooling vents. The Legion models sit a step above the LOQ in materials and screen quality.
Performance
Performance is where these laptops shine for the price. The Legion 5 Gen 10 with a Ryzen 7-260, 32GB of RAM, and an RTX 5060 is a strong 1440p gaming machine, while the OLED Legion 5 variant pairs the same GPU with a stunning display. The LOQ models with RTX 5050, RTX 5060, and RTX 4050 options target 1080p and light 1440p gaming at more accessible prices. Fast DDR5 memory and PCIe SSDs keep everything responsive, and Lenovo’s cooling handles sustained sessions well. These are versatile machines that also handle creative work and everyday multitasking with ease.

Frequently Asked Questions
Legion or LOQ, which should I buy?
Legion models offer better displays, build quality, and higher-end configurations, while LOQ laptops focus on value with strong performance for less. Choose Legion for premium features, LOQ for the best budget gaming.
Is an RTX 5060 enough for gaming?
Yes. The RTX 5060 handles 1080p at high frame rates and capable 1440p gaming with DLSS, making it a great sweet-spot GPU for most gamers at these price points.
How is the battery life?
Like most gaming laptops, runtime is short during gaming, often a couple of hours. For general use with the display dimmed, expect longer, but plan to keep the charger nearby for gaming sessions.
