Live Gaming Equipment exists to help streamers and gamers spend money on gear that suits their setup. That only works if our coverage is independent and accurate, so these are the standards every article is held to.
Who decides what we publish
Our editorial team chooses topics, picks products and writes verdicts. Manufacturers, retailers and affiliate partners do not approve, preview or edit our content.
Money and placement
No brand can pay to appear in a guide, to rank higher, or to receive more favorable wording. We do not run sponsored rankings or paid placements. We do earn affiliate commissions, which are disclosed, and they play no part in our recommendations.
Gifts, samples and relationships
We currently do not accept review units or free products in exchange for coverage. Should we ever receive a sample or develop a business relationship with a brand we cover, we will disclose it clearly in the article concerned.
Rules for sources
Primary sources come first: manufacturer specifications, manuals, firmware and driver release notes. Independent measurements from hardware review sites and audio measurement databases come next, followed by owner reports from verified-purchase reviews and streaming communities. We do not publish a number unless we can point to where it came from.
Measurements sometimes conflict. One outlet may report lower capture latency than another because of different settings or connection types. In those cases we explain the difference, present the range, or leave the figure out rather than choosing the most flattering one.
The role of AI
We use AI tools to help with research, outlining and drafting. A human editor reviews and edits each piece and verifies all facts against sources. AI never creates specs, latency figures or measurement results.
How often we revisit content
Streaming hardware and software change constantly. We review key guides on a regular schedule and update sooner after product launches, compatibility changes, price movements or reader reports. Update dates appear on each article.
Reporting an error
Use our contact page to report a mistake. We check every report and correct confirmed errors promptly.
